The Challenge

Muswellbrook Marketplace was rapidly deteriorating, turning the town’s centre hub from a thriving asset to a concern. Muswellbrook Shire Council purchased the shopping centre in their initiative to rejuvenate the town’s main streets and bring pride back to the community.

The purchase faced community backlash, with many concerned about the direction and future of the centre. Our challenge was to arm Muswellbrook Marketplace with a refreshing new brand and voice that expressed their goal to design a centre for the people!

The Wild Solution

Muswellbrook Marketplace needed a fresh, bold face to rebuild their relationship with the community. We designed a selection of vibrant logos and took them to Upper Hunter residents for a vote. Engaging the community in these changes ensured their voices were heard and encouraged them to get excited about the centre’s future.

We revitalised Muswellbrook Marketplace’s social media presence, enabling them easy engagement and communication with their customers. In response to the community’s positive response, Muswellbrook council extended their collaboration with Wild and Free to include the redesign of their website.
